Get-together in NYC this coming Sunday! 7/2/2006

Yo yo yo, wassup homiez??? (Translation: I haven't learned any new slang terms since 1987)

Word on the streets is that there will be a get-together in New York City's famed Riverside Park, this coming Sunday, July 2, 2006. This is going to be the one event this year you won't want to miss. Hahahahahahahahahhaahhahahahahahahahahahahahah just kidding. But seriously if you're in town (or close thereof) and in the mood for a potluck style picnic, please consider this as one of your many choices.

Even if you're not in town, consider flying in just for this one thing and then flying home as soon as it's over. You may find that it was almost worth it.

The information that I've gathered suggests that at least some people are likely to attend - Vivian, Jessie, Kaja & Karynn, me, so far. Some significant others and children will probably be there too, and at least one animal. If your parents, siblings, and/or 1st degree relatives would like to come, that's great except they have to bring their own food just like everyone else, and they might have to sign a waiver. Same goes for friends & business associates and for strangers you meet on the way there. No nude sunbathing will be allowed.

It's unclear to me exactly where in the park it will be, or exactly when it will take place, but these types of things are not really important anyway.

Show of hands?

I'm there and I believe Kaja said 11 am would be good. I just realized that's Xavier's naptime, but maybe we'll show up early to grab the table and let him play and then nap for little bit.

Riverside Park. Take the 73rd street entrance and call my cell when you arrive so I can tell you where in the park we are located.

I say we start around 11 am and stay until things die down.

If you haven't been there, the park is great. It's right on the water. There's lots of fun stuff to do, like walking and sitting around. But seriously, there will be free kayaking that day. Also, bring rollarblades if you're into that kind of thing. The best part: We have an apartment to run to if it rains.

Most of all, just please come! It would be so great so see everyone.

Also, Angus, I didn't get the original note on this. Maybe you want to send out again just in case some people missed it?

Gonna have to take a raincheck on this gathering as well. We're already committed to a barbeque at a friends' place.
